This is not the country I was born into. I am so thankful my parents are not here to witness it. My father came from Italy when he was 5 and my mother's parents came over from Italy.
My father worked hard to provide and instill morals in us and they would never believe what this country has become.
Hubby and I lost our last living parent - my mom - to non-vaxx related cancer Christmas 2021.
Being thankful that our parents are not around to see this is a refrain that is brought up regularly.
Mom was based and somewhat red-pilled, but was still shocked when I told her 9/11 was an inside job and she became disgusted with having had trusted Bush.
While I am sad all parents have passed...I really mourn for my kids and grandchildren...this is so far removed any semblance of normalcy. I came from a fairly dysfunctional family but that almost seems inconsequential to all the crazy things that are now considered normal or acceptable. Before my mom died, I told her Michelle Obama was a he and she told all her friends...they were incredulous...she was somewhat based, but they just could not imagine everything that was really going on. Are we the last of "normal humankind"...I get the feeling that could be the case.

So sad.
I know.

What a farce this whole thing is.
Sad is right.
