The video confuses me. First of all, there's no sense of urgency or danger from Paul when the cops show up. If he's getting attacked wouldn't he make a fuss about it?
Instead, he's holding onto the hammer that his attacker is holding, while holding a cocktail in the other hand. Then he respond to the cop in a very casual manner. What!!?
Pelosi is half the guy's size and twice his age. Let's be real about to what extent he could resist him physically. He was likely trying to keep things calm while also still nervous about the dude holding a hammer who could (and did) explode at any second.
One thing is for sure, Paul definitely knew his attacker or he wouldn't act so casual about the situation.
But.. that's my point. In his situation he had to act casual. If he didn't play it cool he could've only made it even worse.
Why didi he have to act casual? If you were getting attacked by an intruder would you act casual when the cops show up? No. You would scream for help. He acted casual because he knew the guy. Your logic doesn't add up, but mine does.
