Cool for his survival skills.....but also in a way sad in the lonely sense. There was another story, maybe it was a video, of a family who fled the communist takeover of Russia. He and his wife fled into the Siberian wilderness to never be seen again until deep in the forest a homestead was discovered some 75 years later with the offspring of the family still living there. They were actually doing quite well. It was an interesting story like this one.
He is one tough cookie. He is a survivor. Not many people would know how to do it; especially at -96 degrees F. That makes you a human popsicle. God bless him.
Did you not see the mustache? He's Siberian, what do you want me to say? Men look different around the world, and I don't think he's Trans. Just small stature with Asian features. Definitely a MAN. Of course, he did look a bit feminine in the face. Enough said.
I watch a YouTube channel called Northmen. One vid is of a grandfather type person who lives like the aforementioned old man. Very cold, yet he gets out there every day and takes care of his LIFE. Great reminder, ashlanddog. We need to get back to the basics of life and learn how to overcome challenges.
Interesting story...one of my favorite shows is Life Below Zero on National Geographic. It is interesting to see how people are able to be self-sustaining in such harsh environments, living totally off the land. The most interesting people are the native cultures, when they include their traditions along with their survival skills. He seems pretty well-rounded, even enjoying music, which I have never seen on Life Below Zero. He seems content...

Cool..... I wonder if he ever had a family of his own.
...there was no mention of family except that he lost his at a young age...
This is the sweetest story! He’ll probably live until he’s 113! His mother is surely watching over him.
...absolutely...

It said he survives by trapping rabbits, but they are to lean....
There are probably 'regulated' foodstocks he also consumes which would be detrimental to his livelihood if he were to mention them in a film.
Yes in extream cold you need a lot of calories and fat to survive. You would literally starve to death eating rabbits.
Thank you so much for sharing this! That song at the end was precious!
...twas....
There must be a tobacconist nearby, right at the beginning you see an ashtray with cigarette butts.
To LIVE like this man has is to be honest with himself and NOT rely on outside participants...This is what makes this man a GREAT MAN...
God Bless and Have a Prosperous Life as you choose...An OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL!!!
Hear, HEAR!!!
