Not true. I know of a few people who made their fortunes "flipping" airspace. And property owners are entitled to a portion of the airspace above their properties. If we're talking buildings, air rights is a thing. Though I do believe that the FAA doesn't own air space, but they do control and regulate it, including certain drones and certain altitudes.
Airspace is nobody's property so if you want to store your beer bottles 25 feet up in the air, go right ahead.
