This is GREAT advice. Nothing can/should be "forced" upon people (whether state of mind or vax or what have you). Ppl have to use their God-given free will to choose. I'm curious if you're interested to share, what/when/how changed you from leftist?
Same question to anyone reading this. If you shifted in the past few years, what caused it? Genuinely interested...
Ppl have to use their God-given free will to choose.
Short, somewhat esoteric (not in the occult sense) comment on this: Choice is our essential capacity to grow or play a core role in who we become, how we take the potential God gives us and shape it or build it up. (Ref: Parable of the Talents)
Every human being is a joint project between Creator and Individual. God or destiny makes all the big choices, but our choices are an integral and required part.
And choice essentially means responsibility. When you foist too much responsibility (choice) or too little responsibility (choice) on a growing person, it can easily either overload their system or rob them of their capacity to grow and mature.
Responsibility (choice) is the key factor that determines how much we and our world aligns with God's purpose. So yeah, give choice (and responsibility) utmost respect. Our Father certainly does.
No apologies necessary. Excellent comments. And yes, we have the freedom of Choice gifted to us by God and thus responsibility based on those choices. That my fren is the essence of the same life we're blessed with
Speaking of which, when I was a kid my stepbrother and I joked about writing a dictionary if my mom’s favorite words like responsibility and maturity as a gag gift because she used them to death and we got so annoyed by it.
Now I find myself using them alot when talking about one of my sin in laws’ lack thereof.
Ex-leftist here.
This realization is NOT INSTANT. It takes weeks, perhaps months, of gradual introspection.
Your job is to guide her on this journey. Don't get angry, let the epiphanies come in time. Educate her when she asks for it, don't force anything.
