Simply eating regular eggs won't work.
These two things have nothing to do with one another. The people burning down egg factories and culling chickens ostensibly to save us all from avian flu are not sophisticated. These people don't read studies let alone possess the capability of understanding what's in that paper you cited. This work has been going on for at least a year now. It was extensively documented here on GAW and on PW for those who also read that board.
This is about population control. Remove the sources of animal-based protein. No chickens. No beef. No eggs. "It's immoral!" PETA are the useful idiots here. They and people like Extinction Rebellion are the whackos who'll actually get caught setting the fires. They're the ones creeping around on farms blowing up the anhydrous tanks, etc. But the agenda is set much higher up.
Don't get lost trying to jump on the latest press release as if now, we're suddenly seeing something new. This isn't new. Malthusian, anti-human behavior goes back at least to the 1800s. Hell, I read plenty of work dating back to the 1960s when I was in undergrad talking about the impending catastrophy from humans "exploiting the planet" and we were all going to die if human population and industrial capabilities weren't sharply curtailed. They called it the population bomb. "You vil eet ze bugs" is just the latest iteration. The war on eggs is just the latest update patch. It doesn't have one damned thing to do with some hypothetical connection to COVID that some grad student happened to find.
