Actually they THINK they sold their souls. You cannot sell your soul, it does not belong to you. It is a gift from God. We have free will and will always have free will.

They have been deceived. At any point they (and us) can turn to God. The deeper they (willingly) go the harder it is for them to see the light.

You are right - thanks for this! They have been deceived and tempted by earthly wealth rather than spiritual wealth and goodness.

I have a hard time comprehending why/how anyone would willingly mutilate their bodies and turn away from God to promote the opposite of what the Bible and Jesus have gifted us. And never would I believe it would happen in my lifetime.
