Gee, maybe handshakes should learn to pick fights that matter instead on reeeing over unimportant things. Do you dissagree with the premise of the post or did you just decide the board needed more division to spice things up?
My definition of a handshake is someone who is new here. As in, people meeting for the first time shake hands.
Since I've been here for years and have participated in hundreds, if not thousands of conversations, I'm obviously not a handshake. If it's not an issue, why did you make a point of it being one by bringing it up?
My intention of posting was to clarify if Purkiss had US citizenship ship. Since they fly the South African flag, and has commented in the past about veing South African, I was confused as to why they included themselves in the suckiness of having to pay US income tax. I was wondering if perhaps they had dual citizenship and I just hadn't been aware of it.
In their post explaining that they had mistyped, they asked whether it made a difference if they were an American citizen. I explained that I simply didn't like people pretending to be a US citizen if they weren't. Who would?
Purkiss then replied clarifying that they were not. And I said Okey dokey because I was satisfied that they weren't pretending to be a US citizen.
And then you came charging in with your "handshake" business and asking why I felt the need to "spice things up" with an argument.
I wasn't aware I was having an argument with Purkiss, but ok.
Now I guess I'm having a fight with you?
As to what my opinion is to the US income tax? It blows. As a US citizen, I'm actually obligated to pay it.
Just not a big fan of people who aren't American citizens pretending to be American citizens.
