I made my doctor laugh so hard a few of years ago, he kept saying how great in shape I was, "you're in good shape" he kept saying. As we discussed my hip surgery. At that point I knew I had bad osteo arthritis in almost every moving part, late stage Lyme, etc. Finally I said, "you just mean I'm not fat", omg he laughed like hell. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think when your spiritual life is most important to you, it becomes easier to stop loading your body with addictive foods, because addiction is how the devil gets you, it's the first thing, because when you are addicted to food, alcohol, nicotine, drugs, sex. You feed the addiction and stop feeding yourself. The body craves nutrition and sugar takes the place, your mind seeks peace and contentment, you turn to alcohol, your sense of purpose, and the need for that, turns to false outrage at injustice, instead of the discipline that is needed to seek out the truth. Easy food, easy relaxation, easy sense of accomplishment . As far as being attractive, well, that is subjective. A beautiful soul will shine through almost any physical impairment. Sugar is slave food, suck on the cane and satiate your real hunger, keep working for the next suck, get that dopamine rush and to hell with anything else. Why is fasting so important to almost all religions? Because it exercises discipline over the senses. The devil works through the senses.
I like this response! I'm saving this to read again later.

Wow. I seen that borax video people here suggested for arthritis. Have you tried that?
Loved your statement. I heard an interview discussing unhealthy people overeating because their bodies are craving nutrition all the time and they never get it.
I don't know about a video but I read about boron and started taking it daily via a dilute water solution of the powder a couple of months ago. Achy joints have gone away, despite doing lots of heavy moving and yard work. Data point of one, but so far so good.
