I am always amazed by how big Africa is. Mali and Burkina Faso look like specs on the map but both are bigger than the UK while Mali has twice the area of Ukraine.
It’s a couple steps away from formal integration into one country. Which is an interesting development.
It would also create essentially a major regional power overnight. Which is going to force realignment and reassessment of the geopolitical situation in Africa
