DeSantis is not a black hat. If he was a BH, Florida wouldn't be one of the freest States in the Union right now. This is all just another distraction, but one aimed at [them] to keep [them] off balance.
As the saying goes, "If they need a hero, we'll provide them one."
A hero they can control. It's freaking obvious, and has been to anyone paying attention.

Ever wonder why DeSantis can destroy reporters, time after time? Dude is given more softball questions to hammer than Jose Canseco got hanging curveballs in batting practice. It's all set up to make DeSantis look better to Trump supporters in order to bleed off support from Trump.

Perhaps this guess turns out to be accurate. Perhaps armchairs will never know.
What armchairs who are still alive this summer WILL know is whether Ron does what the Establishment wants by declaring he's challenging Trump or whether Ron decides to instead finish the job he asked Florida voters to give him and they just did.
As Q famously says, "future proves past" ie future events reveals the accuracy of past guesses. Once revealed, this feedback can improve the accuracy of future guesses.
