The train derailment happened in New Palestine Ohio which sits on the Ohio Pennsylvania border. Natural wind flow is going to carry these toxins into Pennsylvania.
Look here at a map to find East Palestine in Ohio, see its location compared to Pittsburgh. The train incident happened aprox 50 miles north of Pittsburgh.
Now if you look at the region in Pennsylvania, above Pittsburgh, it is a heavy republican area.

As you can see, that toxic plume is going to travel into the heart of a major red area of Pennsylvania.

I think you are reading to much into it. Let's face it; EVERYWHERE in the Nation is "RED". Any place that is "blue" is categorized as such via fraud and subterfuge. Sure there are places controlled by the enemy. Sure there are places where those who have TAKEN power protect and coddle a minority of vocal and active assholes. Understand this. Even if this tragedy originated as a total screw up by the railroad all in the name of profit, that does not mean that others are not willing to use it to their advantage. My prayers are for those that are suffering no matter who is at fault.
