Op, you need to elaborate on your thesis, why do you think it was a psyop, and by who and why? Don't just push a headline and attach an article.
I believe the story was deceptive, but can not offer much for an alternative explanation. At the time I couldn't find any prior evidence of this youth football team's existence, but that may not be unusual given that it's merely a youth team and any publications may not necessarily be written in English.
The way the story came out when it first reported was very very odd. All the media latched onto it as if it was the front page shit, and if it was a slow news news, maybe it you could rationalize it as such.
But when Elon mentioned pedo, I thought it was very strange, why would a tech billionaire say something like that, and what did he know??
Not much evidence, but just odd reporting.
