Yep, I avoid Arginine whenever I feel a cold sore coming on.

On the other hand Lysine will fight a cold sore like nothing else. The second I feel a tingle in my lip I immediately down 2,000mg of Lysine with some milk and stop eating Arginine heavy foods.
