Exactly. And what the left ORIGINALLY believed was almost all positive.
The Enemy uses heart-felt Truth to draw people in, and then slowly injects MALICE into it. For example, Tolerance for others different from ourselves is healthy and good, but they've gradually turned it into tolerance for Woke-style tyranny and for depravity and evil.
The few principled leftists from the old days (meaning even from a decade ago) are learning this and moving to the right politically.
And I also have learned the errors of my ways…I admit that voting for Bush (sr/jr) was in error, that there IS a military industrial complex that only benefits when we make war, that divisions within the US are ginned up to divide us and the masses don’t recognize this…that divisions are designed to divide and distract from the elites.
If 80% of us agree on 80%…we are unstoppable.
So you could say in some ways that the right is moving towards the left as well…although I think that is a mischaracterization also. Real conservatives (constitutionalists) always believed in free speech, government’s tendency towards tyranny, and a standing militia to water the tree of liberty when needed. And were cynical of all things, especially widespread agreement among our “betters”.

That's a great line, and a nice piece of hopium as well.
