“People”
We gotta be careful to frequently point out there is many humans and bots (ChatGPT is just the free toy we’re allowed to touch after all) that are poser accounts.
(I want to clarify I’m not implying you can’t identify abnormal account behavior, just mentioning it because even those who are both red pilled and computer literate outside this board seem to not realize this.)
What is the current rate of accidents this year or month compared to previous years and months?
You could be looking at:
An average of about 10 train derailments per month in 2023.
An average of about 10 train derailments per month in 2019.
The only difference is that social media and local news is spotlighting it and eyes are on the subject. Not saying in any way that the Ohio thing is normal at all, that was a disaster, but we have to know the historical rate to determine if the current rate is extraordinary.
What we do know is that we werent talking about train derailments to this degree in 2019 so it sure seems like an uptick but only the numbers provide the proof.
These are the sorts of things to consider to avoid being manipulated by the people who control the news. It helps us find the truth.
I asked my husband about this, as he works for the railroad pretty high up, and he is familiar with these things…
I sent him this list that someone had compiled and asked him if they were true.
Here are some more train accident facts and figures:
• There is a train collision or derailment every 1.5 hours in the U.S.
• Trains carrying hazardous chemicals derail every 2 weeks.
• The FRA reports that 80% of railroad crossings do not provide adequate warnings.
• Most train accidents are caused by human factors, track causes, or equipment.
His response was this: “ Yep, I would say those are all true. But the problem is they did not explain what a derailment is. A derailment is when a railcar wheel drops off a track. 98% plus of all derailment are caused by misaligned switches. In addition, most occur under 2 or 3 mph.”
Hard to claim they’re accidents when it’s happening back to back like this
You'll find people on Twitter (and here) saying "derailments happen every day!"
"There aren't THAT many people dying suddenly" etc etc

What is occurring here is NOT normal.
There are over 1000 train derailments every year. Three a day. And this is down from nearly 9000 a year in 1981.
We are hypersensitive to these stories right now. I live about 25 miles NW of this derailment. So far this is just one of the three per day.
