Chevy Suburban wanted to do a software Update. It then demanded that everybody exit the vehicle in case the doors would refuse to unlock and trap everybody inside. So... software can trap you in your car? And it is connected to the internet? (tse2.mm.bing.net)

An this is the reason all new cars have electric power steering, electrically actuated shift levers, drive by wire throttle bodies, wifi, OTA software updates, 20 friggin cameras on board and no manual transmissions.

Don't forget electronic emergency brake so you can't stop if you get hacked. That manual transmission with zipper windows is pretty nice.
