The problem with shooting inside isn't the sound, you can and will recover from that....it's all the glass that goes into your eyes and what is breathed in, that is the problem. Too much Hollywood influence has people not understanding correctly.
Are you forgetting safety glass? Auto glass has a plastic film on it to prevent splintering.. Besides if the impact comes from inside then particles go outward.
No, not forgetting what so ever, b/c it is a non issue to a bullet. The glass will chip and fragment INSIDE as well as outside, the gas coming out of the barrel is like a miniature typhoon, all those fine particles are propelled in every direction . Bullets do not make nice clean laser cut holes in safety glass. If you want to shoot through that window, be my guest, I wouldn't do it till it was literally the last option.
Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do it.
More than your life?

Mmm. Ever actually examined particles displacement patterns from anything that has been struck by a high velocity projectile.
You're right, I either keep a gun or a headrest in my vehicle, never both.
