These directives are getting passed down to all levels of government all over the world. My local county supervisor is trying to sell us on rezoning for affordable housing (projects, bums, section 8) and road diets (reducing lanes, discouraging car use). WTF?

Nobody wants these things. But the representatives take their marching orders from the higher-ups in government instead of standing up for their people.

It’s fucking embarrassing.

People watched Canada's truckers do a peaceful protest where bouncy castles were a thing, crime dropped in the capital city of Canada, the homeless fed, and litter was nonexistent. For this they were called terrorists, racists and bigots. They had bank accounts frozen, trucks impounded, licences revoked, jail sentences for organizers, and the government/media apparatus slandering them. Then to top it off, the ombudsman in charge of investigating the government's use of the emergency act told everyone that it was perfectly reasonable.

I guarantee that no one will be making the same mistake twice. Governments won't back down. The people will reach a point that they can no longer take this anymore. This won't end well the next time.
