My doctor told me last month that if him and 95% of his graduating medical class would have known today with they knew then they would have walked away
I did. Finished pre-med. Accepted into a top medical school.
Went into it thinking they care, it's just hard out there and they're hampered by regulation and the insurance racket.
After a few months realized nobody gave a FLYING FUCK about the scientific method or good individualized healthcare.
95% of my colleagues, fellow students, and professors, and doctors couldn't even be bothered to read a study on the treatment they were advising.
And the other 5% would read it, and then go ahead and dismiss whatever they read and do what they were told anyway.
It was all so sickening I left. It would be one thing if people cared about getting it right, but were hampered by "the system" ... but that wasn't the case. They actually didn't give a fuck about ANYTHING other then furthering their career in medicine and would do anything they were told to do it.
Most of the doctors I met HATED their patients. And would do just about anything to get rid of them quickly under the excuse "we trying to do the most good by serving patients efficiently".
Every day I was there I felt like throwing up or stabbing these people. So I left.
The people in the medical field are some of the worst people I've ever met in my entire life.
And I come from a family of lawyers so I would know.

And that is EXACTLY why they are not taught the truth about health in medical school.
Most of them are still blind to this reality (for now).

Did he elaborate on that? Curious what’s he’s seen…
