Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Goat cheese is DISGUSTING. There aren't many foods that I simply do not like, but I am willing to try them every now and then to see if my palate has changed (cantaloupe, beets, radishes, and horseradish). There is nothing good about gamey goat cheese or even lamb's meat. I will admire them otherwise.
Blech!
Lamb cooked correctly is pretty decent, I hunt so I have gotten quite good at various ways to get rid of gamey flavor. Antelope is the worst, even the smell of it cooking makes me sick and I definitely agree with you on goat cheese. I slaughtered a couple of goats and they were pretty tasty, trick is beer instead of water in the crock pot with parsnips instead of onions.
We love lamb burgers...just seasoned and fried in a skillet...no gamey taste at all...
Kindly disagree - one of the best cheeses! Only a little needed to flavor the dish.
It gags me. My husband enjoys it so he can have all of it!
I eat graviera every day. It's usually made from a mix of goat's and sheep's milk here in Greece. Maybe you are buying the mature version instead of the new!
Maybe so. Is the new cheese gamey? There's a quality I cannot get past with the type I get.
I agree. I was raised on goat milk. Still can’t stand it. Sickeningly sweet. We loved the goats, though. The cheese was no better!
