Sarfraz Zaidi MD wrote a book "Power Of Vitmin D" and it has great information and studies on Vitamin D. The key to Vitamin D is to know how much is currently in your body. You do this through a blood test and it needs to be in the 50-60 range...so the Osage you should are is dependent on that. I take 10,000 IU's and a Super K every day...have for years...started at about 27 and am now at about 57. This book has great information...definitely worth it to learn all you can about D...
I take 5000 IU's a day and my naturopath said that's approaching the reasonable limit for my body weight and fat ratio.
Vitamin D CAN be toxic at higher doses. It's not an attack on Vitamin D; it's actually a real thing.
