Remember how big an issue universal healthcare was before the 2016 election? That was one of the most argued topics all during Obama's time in office. The way people fought about it, you would think that it was the most important thing to face our country in 200 years.
All during Obama's presidency, Republicans went on and on and on and on about Obamacare how horrible it was, and that it was going to ruin America, etc....
So once Republicans were finally in control of the Senate, the House, and the Oval Office, what did they do about revoking Obama care and giving us something better, like they promised time and time again? Not much.
Only difference now is that people don't have to pay the penalty for not having insurance. Which is a good thing, but not anything close to doing what they claimed they were going to do once the Dems were out of office.
But apparently most people in politics have the memories of goldfish.
When was the last time Republicans even pretended to give a damn about Healthcare, once they were given the opportunity to live up to their hype and failed?
To me, GOP and DNC are just two sides to the same coin.
We should remember John McCain had the chance to kill the Affordable Care Act and when it came time for him to vote, he voted to save it. The Republicans then were neutered in the process and had to settle for what they could get.
Stop insulting goldfish by comparing them to politicians.
