Looking for input to add meat to this concept. I figure my senior generations can share a lot, and I'm not much of a history nerd.
But it appears to me that each generation has brought some kind of vital gift to the world. All of which are coming together right now to defeat evil on a world wide scale.
Like, my generation sort of perfected the Internet and music, so that the next generation could perfect independent media, so that a truth teller in his chilly barn could shine some light for the whole world to see.
Really starting to understand that song about God orchestrating everything to take what the enemy meant for evil, and turn it for good.
How far back can we trace the generational gifts, blessings and miracles? ...proving that God is Always faithful, even when we all but forget about Him.
All the way back to the garden!
Amen.
The problem with history according to Man is it is written by the victors. Through our own documented history there are many times in our collective past that volumes of history were lost to the sands of time or just a good ol book burning. Book burnings are actually documented in many Histories around the world.
Through all of that destruction of History I firmly believe that God has transcended our own attempts of erasing the past by miracles such as the dead sea scrolls. Even today there are many many wonders buried to the collective archive either because they were found and buried by the regime that found them or God has not deemed it yet to be discovered.
There is a History on this Earth that we all feel in our bones. I think society as a whole is literally on the brink of either utter destruction or sheer enlightenment. This truly is and always has been a battle between good and evil, unfortunately too many earthly minded people are stuck within the matrix that generations that came before us never truly realized was there.
What I'm getting at Op, if I may be so bold to say, is that every single one of us are here right now, in this time, at this time, because God deemed it so. I stand upon the shoulders of my Father, His Father, and His Father, and all of their hard work and dedication to provide and improve our lives, and as I stand on those broad shoulders I now carry the torch in order for the next generation to have better. I have had the privilege and honor of inheriting from their toil all the great things we have today, but what kind of world is unveiling itself to us? At this time? In this Time? What have my forefathers worked and died for?
Can we allow as the Torch Bearers of this generation, can we allow all that we have achieved to be shredded and disavowed, destroyed and rewritten, because of an evil agenda that has Satan at it's core, to allow our children to bear witness to sexual deviancy in their schools, in their hands on what we call cell phones? Is THAT what they all died for, worked hard for, and wanted for us to inherit?
We all stand on the shoulders of Giants, the very same blood that spilled on our soil, as well as built this country, runs through OUR veins. We have Inherited the very best because they all wanted us to have the best and to be the best.
We are Here today because the world needs us to be. You were chosen, I was chosen, We speak and We stand NOW not only in pride for who we are because of our forefathers but we also speak and stand for those that will inherit this from us. God chose US to be here NOW, and yes we benefit from not just the technology but moreso from the HERITAGE WE HAVE, and it's about damn time to show just exactly what AMERICANS really stand for. We cannot allow the media to continue to trash our HERITAGE and convince the rest of the world were a bunch of crazy untethered ungodly heathens.
We stand on the shoulders of Giants, not because we choose to but because it's who we are.
God Bless Us All
Carry On!!!
Well said, fren.
Well said! Thank you.
Wow. Thank you for that. I've been seeing the story of mankind more and more thru an eternal lens lately, if it's even ok to think that. But I think that's kind of the point of consuming the Word of God.
Where else on the wide internets can we find such thoughtful responses written right on the spot? So many gifted frens here.
Name checks out

My generation, 50+ years, knows the difference between before and after.
It is a critical contrast.

Gen X. We work hard and don’t give a fuck.
I like where you're going, but... Assuming that you are a millennial... Your generation did NOT perfect music or the internet.
ok but I perfected ambiguous dry humor.
Nice, and I'm not dissing your generation. I have 2 millennial daughters and 1 genZ son that are totally awesome. I think your generation takes a lot of unwarranted grief. Yours will be one of the greatest generations by the time this is over. Keep your heart on your sleeve and your eyes wide open fren.
Well it's all about how we see things. Much to grumble about each generation, but so much more awesomeness. The youngsters have been very frustrating for sure, but there are many who are finding the Word, being filled with Holy Spirit and hearing the call. It's something to behold.
well fern...did you ever remember the video game pac man?? our generation was much like that...you run each day while the pac man was on your ass every step of the way...you manage to stay one step in front of it but really feel like you are just running in circles...
I feel like a little microcosm of the future of mankind is appearing before me today on this forum. People treating each other with respect and kindness discussing issues and hearing other points of view. Beautiful. Kingdom come.
Maybe it’s the Wall album playing in the background as I read (inspired by a post here) or maybe it’s because this is my quiet time of day when I connect with Source. God.
