C-Sections are very common. Both my kids were born that way as my son (first child) was in a posterior position and they could not turn him. He then went into 'fetal distress' and so I had an emergency C-Section. The next year, my daughter weighing almost 10 lbs had to be delivered that way too. I suffer no ill effects and am grateful that I had my kids as I and my husband had lost 2 before them and then it took another 3 years to have our son. Congrats and enjoy your pregnancy, birth and delivery. God bless you and your soon to be babies. They will most likely be identical twins sharing the same sac and placenta.
My wife and I have identical twin girls. We decided to go with the c-section. There is roughly 5% chance that an emergent c-section is needed for baby B after baby A is born naturally. It made sense to avoid the emergent bit. Twin births are 90% by c-section.
Enjoy the ride. You’ll be treated like minor celebrities when you go anywhere in public with your twins.
Almost always multiple births are delivered by c-section, especially in the instance of first deliveries. C-sections are safe, dads can be in the delivery room. I suggest lining up family and friends to donate blood “just in case needed”, if you are unvaccinated. If you interview several OB doctors, you might find someone who is willing to let your wife try to deliver naturally, before turning to a c-section. A colleague of mine delivered triplets by vaginal delivery. Of course that was 20 years ago and doctors are increasingly concerned about complications and lawsuits. Congratulations, you are blessed. May your wife have a peaceful and uneventful pregnancy.
You're already on this, I'm sure, but do bank enough of YOUR OWN BLOOD or other non-vaxxed blood of the correct type before the Big Day and make sure you know you'll be GETTING that blood and not something else . . .
This post made my day, congratulations! I can't help with the c-section discussion, but I firmly believe this: our loving God NEVER gives us more than we can handle. There are times you may doubt this, just TRUST HIS plan.
Congratulations on your double blessing...was one that was a proponent of home births...but...there are times when hospital births/C-sections are absolutely necessary...and you can have confidence that they are safe when you need to deliver babies this way. Much like Mary below, one of my grandchildren WOULD NOT turn and after repeated painful attempts...my daughter said no more and had a C-section and I was totally on board. The important thing is that you have done your homework and gained knowledge and know that as you make decisions you can be confident that they are the right, safe decisions for you and your family...that is the most valuable knowledge you have gained...May God richly bless you and yours...
All of my 3 kids were c-sections. Also, my nieces are twins and were born early due to pre-eclampsia. They 3 or 4 lbs if I remember. They spent a little extra time in the hospital. They are healthy adults now.
Congratulations! I prayed for twins! I would have LOVED that! I did have c-sections, and they are actually great! I remember hearing that vaginal births are difficult but you have an easier recover, C-sections are easy but have a difficult recovery. So true! The recovery was slow, and I avoided the pain medicine they gave me, but kept it around just in case. I never needed it. I was more uncomfortable than in pain. I would love to have two of any of my kids now. I was not blessed with that, however you are! Kids are such a blessing. I never knew how much of a blessing until I had my own. No matter what though, those kids are coming out of you. Just relax and be proud of yourself!
Congrats!! Had 2 c sections...you're gonna be fine. Now go buy 2 of everything...you are blessed my fren!

Do not worry: babies feel it from inside. Rejoice, everything will be good, I am so happy for your pregnancy, LQdy!🤗💐

Do not let them inject poison into your new borns.
I was born via c-section and I’m a twin. It’s better to be prepared and know that you’re doing a c section and have a day picked out in advance.
It will be tough with 2 babies at once, but it’s a lot of fun too. Built in best friend for your kids.
