Spent most of my life in the public view. Serving, helping, talking, motivating. Until a year ago, when my husband had his stroke, and I had to exit the public arena to stay and care for him full time. Course by then, the covid bullshit had been in full swing for awhile. Watching ppl turn into their seemingly true selves was a mind blowing eye-opener. Now when I go out, it's for necessity only. And it's quick. I can't stand the way most of them feel.
At 75, I've spent far too many years wanting to be left the hell alone.
