In response… I’m a woman, and I’ve been able to change a tire since I was 17 years old. I’ll be 60 this year, and I can still change my own tire. There’s no reason for any woman to not know how to change a tire.
I was parked in a Whole Foods parking lot, one time in the middle of summer in Arizona. I had a flat tire, and I had a bunch of stuff in my trunk, so I had to remove all of that, then get my spare out, and then change my tire. It was a big pain in the ass but I did it.
The whole point of this comment, is that not one person that pulled in and out of that parking lot offered to help. Even security sat and watched me change that tire. I was flabbergasted. Not that I had to do it myself, but because not one person even offered. But in their defense, it was a Whole Foods parking lot. Lol. No one wanted to get their hands, dirty, sweat, OR the men shopping were cucks - and didn’t want to get home late to cook dinner for their wife.
I have 4 daughters and 1 son, they all know how to change a tire, check their oil and fluids. I own an auto repair shop and I made sure to teach them the basics.
It’s pathetic no one offered to help you, any one of my kids would have, that’s how they were raised but like you said, you were at Whole Foods, that said it all 😂.
Happy to hear that you train them up well. You’ve got a good flock there.
Back in the day, my Drivers Ed teacher gave extra credit to any girl that demonstrated changing a tire and any guy that baked him cookies! You can bet I got my extra credit!
I remember when I was 18 years old. I had a fake ID, and we were having a party at our house. My mom had gone out of town, and we had a friends band playing.
We went to pick up the keg, and got a flat tire on the way home. We grabbed that keg out of the trunk, change the tire, and went on our way. We had a party to get to.!
So, not only can we change a tire, we could lift a heavy keg as well.
I remember when I was 18 and didn't need a fake ID. I went with some people to buy some Everclear, as NC has a proof gallon limit for how much one person can buy at a time. It was around that year the voting age was lowered from 21 to 18. And then years later, the beer limit was raised to 21. Stupid.
Life is stupid isn’t it. I think they’re reaching the age for cigarettes to 21 as well. Makes no sense.
But if you’re eight years old and you want your dick cut off, will take care of that for your right away.
My neighbor lady changes her own oil.
My daughters can change a tire, check thier oil and stuff like that. They can also field dress a deer or bear, skin and butcher it. They can field strip their weapons in the dark and my youngest is the best shot I have ever encountered.
That’s so awesome! Happy to hear it. I cannot do anything like that with the animals. You’ve got your kids trade much better than me. Well done, well done.
wow that's crazy & shows what kind of people shop at WF. where I live/midwest betas will at least offer assistance, they just don't know 'how' to do it. It's sad because as boys many of them wanted to learn, but their parents were fools, or working all the time.
I was doing a newspaper route with an 18 month old in a car seat in the backseat. It was 4:30 a.m. and it was a car newspaper route of 275 customers, my husband was doing the other 250 customers in another car. I had a flat tire. This was 46 years ago and no one had cellphones, everyone was sleeping. I never changed a tire in my life. I pulled out the car manual and learned. I had to jump on the tire iron to loosen the lug nut, but I did it. Where there is will, there is a way! I had to unload all of the newspapers from my trunk to get the spare and jack out. Big nail was in the tire. Where are the police at 4:30 a.m. when you need them! Lol.
