This exchange between Julians Rum and Burning Bright is pretty much the final word on the alien question

They aren't all demons. As with every single thing in the universe, there are opposites to everything. The shitty predatory ones just have to not win. Not here, not "out there". The inter-galactic "laws" of funky old Star Trek are, I believe, actually true. Those who break the rules suffer for it sooner or later. Just like they do here. Intention ends up being what matters, and lack of conscience, what destroys.
I agree — I think there are good aliens and bad ones. Also, look at all the beautiful cathedrals in Europe, the Egyptian pyramids, the Great Wall of China, etc. — how were those even constructed?
Could be taken as a rhetorical question but if your asking.....
Energy, Frequency, and Vibration. A resonant Frequency exists for all matter., that's a common denominator of everything, literally everything. If you knew the resonant frequency of an object and created a mechanical oscillator that matched that frequency and could broadcast it, the energy produced could literally destroy the object OR harnessed by a pulse wave could be manipulated in 3d space. Other dimensions would share the same basic principals.
If I'm scientifically full of bull I accept the incoming downvotes and corrections.
Carry On!!!
That is so way over my head, but I’ll take your word for it! ThanQ, fren!
Just throwing this out there: I worked with an old Egyptian guy, and he said in his area the local legend was they’d get a choir of guys to sing at a resonant frequency to the blocks they were moving. This would levitate it and they could push them without friction.
Hmmm. I'm guessing that like me when you watch say a Tucker Carlson segment and see the Capital Dome in the background you see much more than the average bear and I do mean MUCH more.
I think your point about suffering being caused by breaking the rules, and that intention is what matters, is excellent and key.
However,
"As with every single thing in the universe, there are opposites to everything."
Just a comment on this concept, which is one which I think is widely misunderstood.
There are myriad forms of original complementary opposites in the universe. Examples of original complimentary opposites are found in entities: mind (spirit) and body (flesh), material and spiritual, male and female, parent and child, etc; and also in modes of action or state: high and low, right and left, up and down, initiating & responding, pushing and pulling, etc.
Such original opposites are always complementary, and they cooperate through a giving and receiving (initiating and responding) action centering on a common (higher) purpose. The commonality of purpose is what underlies and motivates (mobilizes) those complimentary opposites to interact. The mind and body share the common purpose of the existence and purpose of the individual. Male and female have the joint purpose of procreation and rearing of young. Parent and child have a common purpose in forming "family". A nucleus (+) and electrons share a common purpose of forming an atom, etc.
When the common purpose breaks down or is lost, then these opposites no longer become complimentary, but begin to conflict. In other words, they come to have divergent or contradictory purposes.
Opposites that have a contradictory purpose are not original (not natural). Good and Evil are not complementary opposites, but instead have contradictory purposes. The purpose of good is what a person of faith might call 'the Will of God', that is, the optimal benefit of everyone and everything. That purpose manifests in the principles of living for the sake (the benefit of) of one's "complimentary opposite" (which mature parents, for example, embody).
However, the purpose of evil is completely self-centered, and self-destructive. Evil is willing to sacrifice others for its own purpose and desires, regardless of the cost to others.
According to many traditions, evil was NOT created by the Creator, but rather, evil created itself when an originally good (but imperfect) being aka the Archangel, fell into self-delusion, and violated the purpose of good, seducing the first man and woman.
From that point on, evil came into existence, as did demons, evil actions, evil persons, etc.
The purpose of the providence of God and good is the liquidation of evil, thus restoring the universe to its correct, original balance.
From that perspective, certainly there are good spiritual beings (good spirits, angels, etc) but there are also fallen or corrupted spiritual beings (evil spirits, demons, etc). That, however, if tradition is true, is a temporary relative situation, one to be resolved through the providence of the Creator (and human beings have their role as well, to restore the failures of the past).
As the West became familiar with the concepts of complementary opposites, which have been most highlighted by Eastern thought, some adopted the idea that good and evil are also complementary opposites, and that you cannot have one with the other.
The key point is purpose. Complementary opposites function according to the original principles of the universe, centering on a common or unified purpose. This allows the creation of harmony and development.
When two beings engage with contradictory purposes, as good and evil do, they conflict, leading to destruction and disharmony.
Is it any wonder that atheistic Marxism put forward the demonic philosophy that all development arises through conflict? It's a lie, of course. All productive development arises through cooperative interaction centering on a common or higher purpose.
(Even competitive interaction is not contradictory. Fast runners will spur each other on to higher achievement, if they compete honestly. But a runner who cheats and or hurts his opponent in order to win, that's not because of competition. That's basically that athlete has an evil motive, creating a fallen or corrupt form of competition.)
Thus, good and evil are diametrically opposite, not complementary opposites.
"God wins."
This is how it appears to me, but I wonder what your thoughts are on that.
So well put. Thank you.
