This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I make Parmesan crisps in the oven when I want some chips. You just get a wedge of parm (because the pre-grated kind has additives and doesn’t do as well) and grate it and put little mounds of it on parchment and bake. I do 425 for about 5 mins. You can add seasonings. Pepper, herbs, whatever. They’re very good. Just watch the oven so they don’t burn.
Fat is our brain’s fuel. Look how they boast about their fat bombs on r/keto… actually just a shot of espresso with a spoonful of coco virgin oil.
Grass-fed cow’s butter is better.
Any good info on how to prepare sardines? I have some cans, but I pass them over in the cupboard because I don't know what to do with them, lol.
Mash them with capers, lemon zest, grilled walnuts and some mascarpone for a nice rillette.
I'll try it thanks, I have to get some mascarpone next time I'm out.
