There’s this drug Wegovy used for weight lost. It’s an injection. It works. Yesterday daughter, who pays out of pocket for it, was in with her Doctor for a follow up appt discussing her progress with this drug and conversation turned to how expensive it was, and how it’s hard to get insurance coverage for it. (Only certain insurance will pay for it and only when a person is substantially overweight.) The doctor told her drug was expensive because the medical industry doesn’t want people being able to afford it and losing weight as there is more profit in over weight, unhealthy people.

Actually, I made him do so and he came off both his diabetes and blood pressure meds. Of course, its a lifestyle change and many either aren’t willing to do so or cannot continue it.
I'm not trying to be mean or rude, but this isn't a good example to use if you're trying to make the argument that the medical/gov community isn't doing anything to steer people towards a healthy life without drugs.
Because if they've told him in the past, and he still has these issues, it's on him if he didn't follow their recommendations. So telling him again is a waste of time.
To clarify, I am not defending the medical community. If you go through my comment history, you will see that I am frequently critical of the western medicine community.
But, really, I think people need to take responsibility for their choices. It's hard to believe in this day and age, people can't find out what to do in a healthy lifestyle without the medical community or govt standing over them constantly, nagging them.
Short of making junk food and sodas illegal (which I can just imagine what the reaction here would be) I don't see how the government can force people to choose a healthier lifestyle.
My point is, (and my husband was one example) it used to be when you went to the doctor, any doctor, they would discuss healthy alternatives. That doesn’t happen any more to anyone. I can also use myself and any number of my family members who when they visit the doctor, have medication recommended, period. Just like with vaccinations rather than natural immunity. Basically the profit factor is driving the recommendations from medical personnel now, probably generated at the highest level down.
They will be replaced by AI shortly.
If doctors aren't going to use their human intelligence and intuition and experience and do nothing but send away for tests, who needs them?
They'd better start going old school FAST or they will be replaced.
And it will be no great loss for most of the Rockefeller medicine practitioners.
A good holistic practitioner, however, would be worth his weight in gold.
I once had a fat doctor tell me to stop running so much. You’re delusional if you think these people care about your health.
