2 - DeSantis can only delay briefly with tactics but has no real authority either way.

Trump has not “fled” from justice. He moved States. So this clause of the Constitution is not applicable. DeSantis could decline to extradite in this situation.
DeSantis cannot constitutionally be on the same ticket as Trump. POTUS and VP cannot be residents of the same state.
You are incorrect. There is nothing that stops the President and Vice President from being from the same state. This is a common misconception.
The Constitution states: “ The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; ”
The restriction is that no elector can vote for a President and Vice President that are both from the same state as the elector. That means a Florida electoral college delegate could not vote for Trump for President and DeSantis for Vice President. Electors from all other states could vote for both of them.
The danger would be that Trump could win Florida for President but DeSantis would not win Florida for Vice President. Election coverage and procedures currently hide the fact that President and Vice President are elected independently, not as a pair.
The danger could be that Florida’s electoral votes are gone because they might vote for the VP and not Trump as well. It is a gamble you don’t take in rigged election times. In essence, you can be from the same state if you don’t care about losing electoral votes for at least one of you. I can’t think of a single state that has so few electoral votes that its a gamble worth taking.
There is no way that yes electoral delegates would choose to vote for the VP over the POTUS in that situation. Is that a theoretical possibility? Yes. Is it remotely realistic? No.
Either way, my point was that the statement “DeSantis cannot constitutionally be on the same ticket as Trump.” Is simply not true and a misunderstanding of the Constitution. I believe it is important to not spread misinformation about the Constitution, intentionally or otherwise.
Would Kamala suck up to the Maga king? In a fair election, Trump wins 80%+ of electoral votes
In theory, yes. NY makes extradition request to WI gov, Trump gets arrested and extradited from his campaign event there. However, they’d have to get past secret service. No idea if they’d prevent that sorta bs from happening.
Well that strange 12th Amendment can be worked around. Lest we forget George Bush 43 and Dick Cheney were both Texas residents 1993-1998 per IRS records / public docs.
All of a sudden Dick Cheney re-declared Wyoming residency in a small vacation / hunting home.
Courts actually had to clear : https://www.cbsnews.com/news/court-rules-cheneys-no-texan/
And TBH there is ZERO, perhaps LESS THAN ZERO (great B.E. Ellis book BTW) chance DeSantis would take a VP role. He is Alpha // Sigma. He is the future of the GOP FWIW... and he knows it.. and he leans into it every opportunity. He is 2006 Obama. Everyone in their heart of hearts knows - that either 2024 (maybe too early?) or 2028 DeSantis will be 1600 Penn bound.
Well, that might be his plan, but wait until DeSantis allows Trump to be arrested in Florida and extradited to NY (the state's Governor has to approve extradition to another state - if Trump doesn't turn himself in willingly). If DeRINO were to do that, he'll be spit on in the streets of Florida by residents and probably impeached.
But even if that doesn't occur, just wait until the MAGA movement - as a whole - finds out that DeJudas is in Knights of Malta and he's even higher than Skull & Bones in a Secret Society called Saint Elmos.
RD was also the JAG officer who DEFENDED the Afghanistan Taliban and he also led torture programs (reportedly with enjoyment) at Guantanamo Bay, much like what's been reported about what CIA wench Gina Haspel did in the UK.

I have for a long time had a gut feeling that he was not a good person. There was just something there I couldn’t shake. I didn’t know any of this! It is always wise to listen to your gut!
