Agree with the post. I'm a man. Sadly, a lot of my guy friends in their 30s and 40s have women (wives or girlfriends) who seem to take some pleasure in trying to drain the man of his "manliness" or masculinity.
Of course not all women are like that, in fact most are not, but does anyone else see the same in some of their man friends or relatives? Where their wife/gf is making a concerted effort to emasculate them? I see it a lot and I don't understand it
They get ideas in their head about changing their husbands into “ideal” husbands. Fixing whatever they found in him that they considered a fault.
Then they whine that he’s not the man they married.
Tale as old as time.
That too for sure. But this doesn't seem to be about "correcting their flaws" so much as it seems more like "I'm gonna totally neuter my man" type mentality with the women I'm referring to. Less correcting perceived flaws, more sheerly intent on emasculating.
But yea, there's those types too who think they can shape the "ideal" husband thinking they can fix his "flaws"
They view masculinity and having a spine as a flaw. That was my point
No, most women aren't like that. But the media are constantly trying to make us believe that they are.
Absolutely agree. But there are some out there (minority of women) and I don't understand it. My best buddy has a wife like that , constantly emasculating him, and it boggles my mind
