Rumor is Marvel is going to see upcoming release schedules slashed. And Kathleen Kennedy is going to be the next prominent leftist cut in a bid to reboot Star Wars.
Not quite sure they’ll be able to manage a franchise reboot though. Even if they “De-Disnefi” the cannon as is the rumor. There’s been a lot of damage done and goodwill lost.
Which is the most impressive part. They took a golden franchise with a literal license to print money. And dozens of potential essentially pre-written movie scripts in the form of both cannon and EU material. And turned it into a wreck limping along on the life support of a couple passable shows.
I refuse to watch any new SW/Marvel stuff in the theater. I only watch stuff on my friends disney accct if i watch anything. Will take a lot to be willing to give them another dollar.
Why watch it at all? What's the appeal - you know the outcome. All those movies are totally predictable.

I spend a lot of my spare time working pro bono as a cinema director for a small cinema in my hometown. Last year, we showed Unusual World from Disney and we only had 2 visitors at the show! That's an all time low for us and we've been showing movies since the 1920's!

Disney doesn't care about the lost revenue. They are funded elsewhere, right now they exist only to push the propaganda and groom our children. Makes me sick to think of the awesome family vacations I had in Disney World with my kids back in the 90s. Now, Disney has fucking cheated me out of recapturing those memories with my grandkids
Same here. I wouldn't take my grandchildren into that mess, yet my own children, my husband and myself had great vacations there.

I notice that they continue to sit on that sure-to-be-abysmal live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid"...pretty sure it was supposed to be released by now, but they're apparently realizing that casting based on wokeness and inclusion isn't selling at the box office. I hope they lose the tens of millions they sunk into THAT hot mess, too.

You’re not wrong. Pedo symbology is stolen from other sources, including Polynesian art.
Moana, while still marginally acceptable, may have been a tipping point for what followed, which went way beyond stealing symbology by going overt with non-symbolic visuals and dialogue.
