He was backing the unions against BofA.

He announced that Illinois would suspend all state business with Bank of America until the bank restored credit to the represented company or resolved the dispute to the workers’ satisfaction.

Also look into senator Traficant… similar circumstances and ended up dying in a tractor “accident.”
