No way. The DUI scam is a big money maker for the states, so they over-police it on working people. DUI checkpoints have no respect for the requirement of probable cause. Investigating the content of someone’s blood is a violation of the 4th Amendment. If the state uses these unfair methods to make working people pay high fines and buy overly expensive Interlock devices from state cronies, then they should do the same to the champagne socialists. The monetary penalties won’t hurt them as much. Equity, right?
I’m not sure if the gay black french whatever rear ended someone else or if she got rear ended, but ethically that should be the most important consideration. If she’s at fault, throw the book at her.
I’ve never had one but I know people who had to get it and they said it’s awful. Besides needing to blow in it to get the car to start in the first place, sometimes it requires it after it’s already running to avoid the car shutting off.
And you have to buy it from a supplier politically connected to the court who sentenced it, so they charge an exorbitant amount for it. Money-making scam.

If it were you or I, not at fault, we'd still get a dui and all the bs that goes with it.
A breathalyzer device hooked up to a car’s ignition

It's foisted upon first-time DUIs in a number of states.
