Exactly what crime was he "covering up"? Hush money is not a crime. NDA is not a crime. If Cohen paid it personally, then it was a repayment - I'm at a loss as to what crime or criminal act he could possibly be covering up with this. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I damn sure don't see it.
Yea, he is not being indicted for making a hush money payment, it is about not reporting it on his taxes and campaign finance reporting. They found an area where someone working for him did not fill out the right paperwork or pay some taxes and are taking it all the way.
Don’t forget, the IRS brought Capone down. They are weaponizing the overly complex tax laws.
I get that - but from what I read, to make it a felony and not a misdemeanor, it has to be committed in act of covering up another crime. What crime are they trying to say it covered up? Also had an interesting Convo with my mom and she either watched or read about this SDNY bs but discussion held was that the Constitution doesn't include as requirement to run for president the absense of any charges. Lists min age, natural born citizen and she said one other, but nothing about anything else.
Yea, it is not going to stick and trump will never see the inside of a prison cell. There is nothing in the constitution that requires the president to have a clean criminal record, you are correct.
That’s the thing...I really have no idea. I do know that if Trump wanted this gone he could have had it taken care of years ago. He has a brilliant team of minds and money. The fact that her name is “STORMy” is laughable. This is such a show. Who knows what else will come out of this, all l know is that my gut is telling me he’s got a hand in this.
Do you remember the Mar-a-Lago raid? The Q-haters were saying it was the end of Trump for sure and the Q followers were saying the Mar-a-Lago raid will amount to nothing but that this now sets the precedent for Democrats to be raided, and a few months later, what happened? The Mar-a-Lago raid was mostly forgotten and Biden’s home was raided too. So extrapolate how Trump’s “indictment” might play out from here using the Mar-a-Lago raid as a template.
Biden's own people are the ones to have originally informed the authorities that he had the papers. I'm sure that the issue with Trump and Mar a Lago was a factor in them declaring they had the papers, though.
There has never needed a precedent to be set for former presidents to be indicted. Just a DA and grand jury with the balls to do so.
I just really don't think this is as much of a "gotcha" as people are trying to make it seem.
But thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Even if I don't agree with you, it helps me understand a bit of the reasoning.

Exactly. It’s for the normies. It’s so over the top and goofy but it has to be.

My thoughts exactly. Trump is too smart not to have a plan.
So you think it's part of a plan, him being indicted?
So all of the stuff on Truth Social is just for distraction?
I keep seeing people say that this is all part of the plan and I wonder how far they think the plan goes here.
So if he actually turns himself in on Tuesday, and gets fingerprinted and gets a mugshot and is questioned, is that also part of the plan?
If it goes to trial, that's part of the plan?
If he's found guilty, is that part of the plan?
I ask because so many people seem so sure of what the plan is and I don't.
Just trying to figure out what is going on and how other people view things.
