Country music was subverted some time back.

They weren't getting to the country folks so they had to take over. Most of their current crop of PC cowboys can kiss my ass.

What was considered real country music before the 80s is under Americana genre. This genre has new artists singing real life lyrics. They are from all over. My favorite artist in this genre are from Kentucky, Texas is my next favorite.
