If this information is true, we may be seeing the initial start of WWlll. It'll take time to process, hit the new cycle, and see how world gov't bodies react. I would go out on a limb and say this would be the start of the storm.
Just remember that Taiwan is the UKRAINE of ASIA -- a FALSE nation created by LOSERS after the Communist takeover of the rest of China in 1949 (Ukraine was also a similar "breakaway nation" going back to around the 1860s or so in its modern form). Unfortunately for those who want to promote "democracy" over there, the Chinese (AKA Oriental) mind has been virtually BRED to accept emperors and other forms of totalitarianism for close to 5000 years, thus they are actually better off under communism than a people with a Western mindset would be.... As Russia should have been allowed to simply RECLAIM ITS PROPER TERRITORY in the UKRAINE, so too should China be allowed to reclaim its territory on the island of FORMOSA....

We've known that China has talked/planned about do so. This sounds like they have activated that plan and has started the operation. That's a major act of war, of course.

To me, it seems as China is ready to move. I'd guess they are waiting for McCarthy to leave before fully enacting the blockade. They must be "inspecting" Taiwan's MIL ships to survey the current threat levels.
Regarding the inspection, China announced they would inspect all ships, but they haven't done it yet. Taiwanese military ships won't be boarded for inspection (that's called surrender), but it's the civilian ships that would be the first targets, and Taiwan ordered then not to comply.
Indeed. I can even see the US gov't denying it even if it goes hot. Hell, I'd go out on a limb and say they'd scream "FAKE NEWS!" even if we had a nuke bearing down on us lol.
