Yep. But that is actually possible.

He loses the nomination but beleagors Biden and causes him to spend a bunch of money on his campaign, and then hey presto Trump announces that he has selected Kennedy as his VP.

It's doable. And it would be hilarious.

Normally I would say that the chance a third party candidate could win the Presidency in the USA is zero.

But this is Trump versus Biden or Hillary.
