Yes. I am not hurting like I was, and it has only been a month. I am starting to get much more range of motion, and can now walk around enough to grocery shop.
I did the Atkins thing 3 times like 20 years ago. 3 months each time. Biggest problem is the body wants to maintain weight and will fight you. Eat a cookie, then the whole pack and diet done for. Kek. Don't beat yourself up, just go at it again like you said.

My non-diet diet. Drink a lot of water before eating food. Eat lots of veggies FIRST with as little condiments as you can stand. If going for low salt eat fresh, OR birdseye peas, carrots, green beans, and corn. Lower salt than most frozen.
There's always the latest fad food, but just eat as many colors of veggies as you can. Once you start getting full just eat what you like. The veggies and water will keep you from over doing it.
A little fruit is good, a lot not so much. Variety of colors like veggies.
