It's in organic chemistry. Necessary to use since many molecules will be the same formula, but different orientations. This causes the molecules to behave differently, despite being made from the same atoms.
You know it from the talk about trans fats from the 90s. Refers to the shape of the carbon chains on unsaturated lipid molecules. "Trans fats" are unsaturated fats whose carbon chains are the same shape as saturated fats, because every sequential carbon bond angles in the opposite (trans) direction from the previous, rather than the same (cis) direction.
Of course, the metaphor is inapt for trannies, since they are all mentally ill. Cis and trans as opposites only work in morally neutral situations.
When did this happen?
When I took my chemistry sequence 10 years ago for engineering we had no such terminology.
Is it something from biochem or organic chem?
Either way, appropriating a term from science to support their insanity is standard now.
Best to just ignore/ridicule these morons imo.

Thank you!
I wasnt aware of this before.
In my chem sequence we werent exposed to this.

Ah! I see now, I did not have to take the ochem sequence so I wasnt exposed to that terminology.
Thanks for the info pede!
Speaking of Trans fats, why is every "Trans-Man" I see always overweight? Too much "Trans-Fat"?
