Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
what do you think happened to everyone who said they couldn't wait this long? are they in a blackpill hole somewhere? did they change their minds and stick it out? or were hey just shills?
If they're religious, they adopt the mentality stevethefish described. If not, they go full prepper.
I strongly disagree with patriots who justify their lack of faith (and lack of effort) with the idea that Revelations is upon us and Satan will be victorious. So many problems with that mentality, both practical and spiritual.
I know that mentality really hurts to see. I mean the book is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Yet they forget that
"The Book of Revelation of Saint John the Divine"
The second coming followed by 1,000 years of peace, right?
It's been suggested that the Catholic church twisted the meaning of Revelation into a dark and fearful thing.
I'm not as well-versed as you are Slech, but that theory rings true to me.
Yes imo many people miss inteprt revelation. It's meant to bring us to Christ so we can remain with him till whenever he comes back officially across the world. Praise the Lord! We love u so much Jesus. Let your kingdom come. Your will be done.
Yes I have heard that theory as well. I think it's best if we just say Satan twisted it and got man to follow along. Someone definitely worked hard to take our focus from Jesus and onto the doom and gloom. Christ is Lord though and soon the whole world will bow before his feet. Hallelujah Come Jesus Come. We are yours
To each their own. Some end up blackpilled. Some can discern the reality behind the illusions and stick it out. And ofc, some were just shils.
My Q friend in PA is now convinced that Trump is the Antichrist. I've seen some people on the Trump Train jump off and only focus on the Bible now. They tell me that they cannot see where I get my optimism from. I see where they are coming from. I'll just wait and see.
That's why it's so important to have a deep intimate relationship with our savior, King and best fren Jesus Christ. He will guide us to all truth
F fully R rely O on G God
Well, that's a contradiction in terms if ever I saw one. Or perhaps not.
The way I see it, it's not how much focus on the Bible a person has. It's how deeply they understand the Bible that is the issue.
The more one understands the Bible, the greater one's sorrow but also the greater one's optimism and hope. imo.
Well, like I will say that I believe that the evil ones will be routed and a new era will begin. They just say no, Satan will prevail and things will only get worse until Jesus comes.
I think you are right, Fish.
But at the risk of being blunt, I think a LOT of believers use the excuse of "When Jesus comes back" to avoid dealing with the reality of life as God gives us challenge to face.
And there is no guarantee that when Jesus returns, they'll recognize him. The Jews who lead their institutions at Jesus time were also completely sure they would recognize and know the Messiah when he came, and look what they did.
