The quiet part that Derek J said out loud is that 'everyone' knows in government about this all being a show, all judges, etc., including the Resident and his administration. How is it that absolutely nobody is leaking? Even Schiff, the master leaker? seems like the DS would mount a counteroffensive bigger than what they are doing now.
