There's a weird little glitch as he steps off. It looks like he starts out with his right foot, for some reason I always thought you had to step off with your left foot first.
edit: The glitch appears to be an edit that makes it look like he steps off on his right foot, but I'm pretty sure he steps off with his left and those frames were clipped for some reason. Very suspicious if you ask me.
I had an Army buddy that did it, it would take him hours to prepare. He would polish everything to perfection, make sure his uniform was perfect, a great honor.
Yes, they do it differently. Not sure why they change the facing movements to be different from standard Army drill and ceremonies but much of their movements is based around 21 and related to a 21 gun salute.
I served in The Old Guard and spent time with the Tomb Guards; nothing fishy here. The video is definitely edited and looks weird for sure but blaming the Tomb Guard is a Fool’s Errand.
Somehow, I don't see the Old Guard going woke. They do have a different drill manual.
^^^ THIS EXACTLY ^^^

Also what we were taught. Good catch.

Right / Left, give the guy a break it is poring down.
Looks like shit. Not the crisp heel and toe I was taught.
Looks like they've been doing it for some time. Still looks like shit.
Looks precise to me, not shit. This is the Army Old Guard. A bit of pomp and circumstance is part of their SoP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzgSzerrzYI&ab_channel=GungHoVids
In that video (from 2015) they are definitely stepping off with the left.
Unless the OP video has been edited, I don't think they are genuine.
edit: I think the video you posted has been edited, no idea why, but it seems sus.
