What really got me was where she said that the one it was her job to keep him distracted and busy like you have specific jobs to keep kids busy and distracted during this
Yes, they do have people called "Child Life Specialist" and their job is to calm the child down and distract the child from the things that could scare the child. They actually have to get a college degree to this this job. They get paid really good money to do this also.
It is a ridiculous, ignorant part of the team in all the children's hospitals. The funny part is they only work on dayshift, like nothing bad happens on nightshift.
I always thought it was a horrible waste of time, money and effort to keep these people around. Anyone from the healthcare team or the parent can calm the child, we don't need a specialist getting paid $100,000 a year to talk sweet to a patient, this is why healthcare is so expensive, ignorant ideas such as this.
They had a child life cork board in the lunchroom where I used to work. They would post the schedules of the Child specialists, letting us know who was in house each day and other flyers about child life crap. I would go into the lunch room, if it was empty, I would rip down everything on their cork board and toss it in the trash, move items from other cork boards to fill the empty spots. They would fix it each day and replace the stuff I removed. It had to be humiliating for them, most of the staff felt that the child specialists were a useless part of the system, but these people were protected. They would send out emails from upper management promoting these people, I never understood it.

Same tactic the deep state uses on the sheeple.
