"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." Revelation 2:9 KJV
I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure Jesus was a Jew. So if you encounter someone who is a "Jew" but they also happen to be eating babies... I'm pretty sure that's who that verse is referring to. So the Bible has explained very clearly that Jews are not evil, but there is an satanic group that pretends to be Jewish.
and so... every time someone posts a blanket accusation of 'the Jews', I can't help but wonder if its a fed. because not only does it sound way too spicy for normies... its also not true. I think the vast majority of us here know that, but that line in revelations tends to go underappreciated.
My next podcast episode is gonna be with a messianic Jew from my church. First part will be her testimony. The second half we will address deep topics such as this. She has told me no question is off limits. Super excited
I wish I could give your comment a thousand upvotes. I've been trying to say this too over and over again. Please, let's either call them the cabal, but better yet "Revelation 2:9ers". Satan and his evil fallen angels / demons and humans who have sold their soul to him are at the core of everything we are fighting against.
Yes, Jesus was a Jew! He also reserved His harshest condemnation for "fake Jews" as in the Pharisees calling them a den of vipers. Jesus is the author of Revelation (through the hand of John) so He is consistent in calling them a "synagogue of Satan".
The non-stop "it's the Jews" is very disappointing and intellectually and spiritually lazy.
Edit: I also believe it's very important that we personally examine ourselves everyday (starting with me) to be sure we are on God's side by being as far away from satan's initial sin of pride by not accepting the "station" that God had given him. I know I need to check myself every day to let go of my pride and fully submit to God's authority. Some days I do that better than others, but the more we do that in large numbers the bigger threat we become to the enemy.
Wouldn't Jesus more correctly be a Galilean? If I recall correctly, the word Pontius Pilatus used when he said of Jesus "king of the Jews", was "Ioudaioi". And at the time "Ioudaioi" was used to refer to all of the Jews, not just the Kingdom of Judea.
This is like proclaiming that some Italian is now the king of all of Italy, Spain, France, and Greece.
Edit: basically, Pontius used Ioudaioi when proclaiming Jesus king of the Jews, as an insult.
personally i'm annoyed we call these people Jews when the Bible lets us know exactly what we should really call them...
I don't call them Jews; I know they're not. I just call them monsters.
What?

You're right; humility is vital to staying good.

Cannites? Average Baal-enjoyers?
