I’m in Bulgaria. Several of my best friends are Ukrainian. One of my friends believes the Russians are liberators and she must flee the Ukrainian army which is seeking to destroy Ukraine so that Russia appears as the aggressor and not the savior. The other believes Putin is a monstrous invader who’s hellbent on savage acquisition. I housed one of my friends and she fled to Greece and I talked to my other while the first bombs rocked her city. We’re also seeing constant war equipment being shipped about here. I’m pretty sure there’s a war.
I’ve traveled all over the world because that’s what I did for work. There are some fucking savage and terrifying places in Asia and Oceania. I’ve not been to the Middle East but the airport in Qatar was enough to convince me not to ever consider it.

By the way, ask the Boers how their white privilege in going down there in South Africa. So sure…if a culture and system was created by a majority race, it stands to reason that the majority who created it favors the majority. All human beings on Earth have an in group preference that they’ve evolved over CENTURIES. That said, white people have jumped through hoops to override this for the benefit of those who are not the majority…short of directing a huge cannon of self destruction DIRECTLY at ourselves, there is nothing further we can do. Minorities are OVERREPRESENTED in media, work environments, sports, music and more. The only way to make this better for minorities is to consolidate two separate countries: one white, and one minority, and simply leave everything to the minority group and say, “here! Now you’re 100% privileged in this space! You can be 100% of the dating pool, and the job candidates, and the musicians, and the engineers, and the doctors! No more white privilege, because we’re leaving! Bye!” That’s the only way to fix this horeshit “privilege” drivel.

I really want to have this kind of faith, but I don’t. I’ll share the best I can do. Jesus came and spoke and what he spoke resonated as profoundly true to people. As his popularity grew, he threatened the powers that be, because his message contradicted the current hierarchy. Jesus was then threatened, tortured, ridiculed, and crucified and it wasn’t enough for him to succumb to the powers that be, or enough from him to change his message, to lie, or to turn from God. He stayed true. Then, he was reborn because the truth and the loyalty to God gave him new life. So I imagine that he died in order to teach us how to live.
