This is essentially what I've come to realize over the years of being an anon:...

I'll just stick with what the Bible actually says, thanks.
There is a LOT of symbolism used in the scripture, don't you think?
Symbolism and truth of reality all thrown together. This is why when I hear someone tell me that was inly history, or that was only a metaphor ir figurative, not literal, I say. “Until I read the scripture specifically state that a passage is only figurative or metaphor (even dreams or visions) then I take it literally. I don’t care what man says, only what God says.”
How do you interpret/understand Jesus recorded words when he says:
“I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!"

I'm curious.
Bro, words are symbols!
Don't get me started with words. Spelling. Spelling Bee, SPELLS, SPELLCASTING.
Technically, this is (sort of) true.
A word is a conceptual unit, that exists in the language system, which binds together meaning and form, and manifests either in visual (written) or audio (spoken) form. To some extent, the written word (using letters/characters, etc) is a symbol or collection of symbols.
In most cases, the sounds etc, are part and parcel of the original word.
Words are by definitions, symbols, no matter how you convey a word, whether it be written, spoken, or felt as a blind person feels to read, words mean something other than themselves, and by definition that is what a symbol is.
Biblical symbolism is explained by the Bible. One just has to search these matters out. Proverbs 25:2
So that's a yes, then.
