An acquaintance I knew 20 years ago, through a common hobby, was a Hollywood cameraman. About a year ago we happened to reconnect online, and chatted a bit. I asked if he was still working in TV/movies and he said that he’s in the construction field now, and then added “the money isn’t as good, but at least there’s no pedophilia.”
This strike is a cover up.
No. It's a real strike. My daughter is a writer in HWood for a Television drama. Their union voted and has been negotiating in earnest for better pay and conditions, but the studios are being greedy and refusing to agree to reasonable demands.
The two sides are far apart on issues including ... the role of artificial intelligence in penning film and television scripts.
For what, though?
