Charles Flynn is not a combatant commander. Wouldn't make sense to appoint an Army general over the Pacific. The resident, if you will, appointed him over Army forces in the Pacific. Indo-Pacific Command is lead by an admiral.
Imagine the discipline these two grew up with. Not many can say they have not one but 2 sons that are Generals. Impressive. Is he anything like his brother? Or opposite side of the spectrum?

read the posts, as I heard it the 12th COCOM Flynn was nominated by the military and Biden pretty much had to accept it.
